Freshwater Fish - Full Program

Series: Underwater Creature Feature

Freshwater fish live in rivers or lakes. Some species, like salmon, move between the river and the ocean. Other species include the chub, minnow, and trout. The doughty barbel is an endangered species that lays its eggs in a tower. The perch can change its body color; the male cares for its offspring. Snakehead fish spend four days wrapped together before laying eggs. It's important to keep rivers clean for all of these fish.
