Eric Carle Picture Writer: The Art of the Picture Book - Full Program

Eric Carle honors his father through his illustrations. He demonstrates how he creates tissue paper collages. He loved art even as a child; his mother was very supportive. Carle was born in Syracuse, New York, then moved to Germany to live in a huge house with his extended family. Some of his books were inspired by family stories. He shows how he develops an idea into a book, and he introduces his Museum of Picture Book Art.
